CONTIGUITY ENDORSEMENT SERIES
ALTA ENDORSEMENTS 19-06, 19.1-06, 19.2-06

I. Purpose:

The ALTA 19 series of endorsements insures that two or more parcels are contiguous
along defined lines or boundaries and that there are no gaps or gores separating the
insured contiguous boundary lines.

The ALTA 19 series of endorsements may be issued with owner’s and loan policies.

II. Coverage Provided:

a. ALTA 19-06 (Contiguity – Multiple Parcels): Insures that two or more parcels
insured in Schedule A are contiguous to each other without any gaps or gores
along their common boundary.

b. ALTA 19.1-06 (Contiguity – Single Parcel): Insures that an insured parcel is
contiguous to another, uninsured parcel of land along defined lines or
boundaries.

c. ALTA 19.2-06 (Contiguity – Specified Parcels): Intended for use when two or more
separately described parcels touch at either a common point or along a common
boundary are being insured in the policy. The endorsement may be used when
some, but not all, parcels described in a policy are contiguous to each other, or
when all parcels are contiguous.

III. Title Tips:

a. The parcels identified as being contiguous will need to be inserted into the
endorsement; or the endorsement may insure that all parcels are contiguous
along their common boundaries.

b. An ALTA/NSPS survey depicting all referenced parcels will be required for the
issuance of the endorsement.
