ALTA 12.1
Aggregation – State Limits – Loan Policy
The ALTA 12.1 is intended for use in those multistate transactions when aggregation coverage is
requested, but the total principal amount secured by all mortgages insured under the policies to
be aggregated exceeds the single risk state limitation in one or more of the states in which the
properties insured under the aggregated policies are located.
When an ALTA 12.1 endorsement is used with respect to a series of loan policies being aggregated,
each of the individual policies issued will have an ALTA 12.1 endorsement attached. This endorsement
is available for loan policies only.
