ALTA 26
Subdivision Endorsement
The ALTA 26 endorsement provides coverage against loss or damage if the land insured under the
policy has not been lawfully created under state statutes and/or local ordinances relating to the
subdivision of real property. In certain instances, state statutes or local ordinances may not allow
the transfer of the property if appropriate subdivision approvals are not obtained. This endorsement
is available for owner’s and loan policies.
