Guide To The Most Requested Commercial Title Insurance Endorsements

FOREWORD

The Old Republic National Commercial Services team is proud to provide this Guide to the
most commonly requested endorsements for commercial title insurance projects.

With guidance from our experienced underwriters, endorsements issued in connection with
title insurance policies can provide coverage that is not contained in the policy or for specific
risks or matters. Endorsements can modify, expand, or provide affirmative coverage (where
allowed), and are a part of the title insurance policy, subject to the terms and provisions of
the policy and endorsements issued therein.

The American Land Title Association (“ALTA”) has standardized and adopted endorsement
forms to provide consistency and certainty when practicing in multiple jurisdictions. This
Guide provides information on those endorsements that are most commonly requested in
commercial transactions and is not intended as a reference for all available ALTA
endorsements.
